Before RAW image straight out of my Nikon D600…
and after (three images merged into HDR) of VooDoo Doughnuts in downtown Portland Oregon.
I have been to this iconic street location on two occasions now. There is ALWAYS a crowd of people waiting to get it the door for some delicious donuts. Personally, I have never tasted a doughnut from VooDoo, and word of mouth is that the doughnuts are to die for.
On this day it was mid-nineties. A different term might be SWELTERING. Later in the evening the Rose Parade kicked off. The entire day was filled with public festivities, good food, carnivals, water fountains and kids running and jumping in the water, and overall busyness.
I enjoyed the city of Portland and the different people.
One dude was dressed in leather slippers, brown and green pajama bottoms, a flannel shirt, and black horn rimmed glasses. The best part was… he was glued to his iPhone and ignore his wife and child in stroller. It was a great Portland site.
Other Portlandians (if that is even a word) were tattooed, pierced, and dress in grunge/gothic attire. The bums, however, where in regular street clothing.
I hope to head back to Oregon soon to capture more of the coast and maybe a different urban center like Salem.
Enjoy and feel free to leave a dynamic and funny comment.
